Joomla is a freely available, open source platform that is used for building websites. It is a user friendly platform that is easy to use and navigate.
Here are some steps that should be followed sequentially in order to design a Joomla website –
1. First you need to install joomla in your hosting account’s control panel. This will hardly take 3-4 minutes to install it. This is the simplest method to install Joomla. Another way to install it is uploading the joomla installation package in your site. You can install it by going to step by step instructions.
2. Once you have installed joomla in your site, it is time to configure joomla. You can configure joomla by logging in your joomla admin account. Once you log in the admin area, click on the ‘site’ tab in the left corner, there you will find a Global Configuration link which contains step by step instructions to configure the joomla site. This will not take more than 10 minutes to complete this task.
3. After installing and configuring the joomla website now it is time to write some content and create categories and sub-categories to differentiate the content. By managing categories and sub-categories you can easily organize the content of your site.
4. Joomla offers a site navigation or menu navigation system through which you can create your menu as per your requirement.
After setting up all these, if you want to modify or change anything in your site, then you can easily customize the website as you want.
